What we are doing
Under traffic lights, we will be building an access road to the railway onto Wormleighton Road, in Wormleighton.
Under a weekend road closure, we will be completing utility works in order to join Boddington Road to the temporary link road and restore connectivity to Claydon Village.
Location
Wormleighton Road, Wormleighton and Banbury Road Link Road nr Boddington.
Duration
Traffic lights: Tuesday 5 May to Friday 22 May 2026.
Weekend closure: 8pm Friday 15 May to 6am Monday 18 May 2026.
What to expect
- The closure of Wormleighton Road.
- Workforce and machinery in the road.
- Overnight working on Friday and Saturday nights near the link road.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
