Duration
• Four-way traffic lights at the B4114, Birmingham Road roundabout from 6am Monday 26 October to 6pm Friday 13 November 2026.
• Road closure of the B4114, Birmingham Road from, 6am Monday 16 November to 6am Monday 30 November 2026.
• Contingency four-way traffic lights at the B4114 Birmingham Road roundabout. These will only be installed if the works above cannot be completed within the planned timeframe. If required, they will be in place from 6am Monday 30 November to 6am Monday 14 December 2026.

What we are doing
We will be carrying out essential works, including some repairs to the structure above the carriageway, including painting, concrete repairs and installing cover plates. Utility works will also be undertaken within the carriageway and footways.

What to expect
• Working hours will typically be between 7am and 6pm each day, although occasional evening working may be required to support the programme or complete specific activities.
• The road closure and temporary traffic lights will remain in place 24 hours a day throughout the works. This is because the traffic management cannot be safely removed and reinstated each day and helps keep the work area safe and secure. A traffic management team will be on site during peak travel periods to help manage traffic flows and minimise disruption.
• Pedestrian and cycle access will be maintained throughout the works.
• Access to Woodlands Cemetery, the car boot sale field and Coleshill Manor Campus will be maintained via the A452 Collector Road roundabout.
• To minimise disruption, we have reduced the full road closure from four weeks to two weeks and will use temporary traffic lights where possible. While some delays may still occur, this significantly reduces the impact on road users compared with a longer full closure.

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
