What we are doing
We wrote to you earlier this year about our utility works on Finchley Road and Hilgrove Road until 27 September 2026. From 20 July 2026 there will be some changes to our site layout. We will be widening a section of our work area on Hilgrove Road as shown on the map below. This is to access an additional area of the gas main. This should have no impact on traffic flow.
We will excavate part of the footpath on Finchley Road in front of 17-24 Dobson Close and Castleden House. Pedestrians will be diverted as shown on the map below. We will trim back some vegetation that is obstructing the footpath.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
