What we are doing
We are completing the realignment of Waddesdon Greenway (FMA/1) bridleway. The new section of the Greenway will cross the HS2 line over a new steel bridge.

Waddesdon Greenway, Fleet Marston.

Monday 10 August to Friday 25 September.
What to expect
Full 24-hour closure throughout the 26-day works period. Some overnight working with quieter and busier periods.
Our working hours are shown below:
- Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm across the entire works period and 7pm to 7am (further details on page 2 of AWN document).
- Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 7pm across all weekends that fall within the works period.
Waddesdon Greenway opening – the new alignment and bridge will be open from 7pm on Friday 4 September providing access for cyclists and pedestrians only. The final bridleway link for horse riders will open from 7pm on Friday 25 September* (see map on last page). This final link will be constructed during core daytime working hours.
*The original opening date for the bridleway link was Tuesday 15 September but has been extended due to weather conditions impacting our program.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
