Notice of works over the Birmingham to Nuneaton Railway line in the vicinity of Coleshill

What we are doing

Location
The Birmingham to Nuneaton, Network Rail line in the Coleshill area. The What3Words

Duration
Work will start at 10:45pm on Saturday 6 June 2026 to 4:10am on Monday 8 June 2026. The work will take place 24 hours a day for the two-day duration.

What we are doing
The work involves installing parapets over the existing Network Rail line.

What to expect
Network Rail will close a section of the Birmingham to Nuneaton rail line for 42 hours as this work cannot be undertaken during normal working hours without affecting the operation of the railway. Please check before you travel for more information or alternative routes to take.

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
