What we are doing
Location
Aston Church Road between Chartist Road and Arley Road.
Duration
We recently wrote to you regarding a full road closure in both directions between Chartist Road and Arley Road on Sunday 19 July. This will now be on Sunday 2 August 2026 and Monday 3 August 2026 between 2am and 2am. Please note, the new date is subject to consent.
What we are doing
These are emergency repair works on a manhole within the carriageway. In order to carry these works out safely, we will need to close a section of Aston Church Road in both directions.
What to expect
A fully signed diversion will be in place, please see overleaf for details. Buses will also be on diversion.

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026.
