What we are doing
From 26 October 2026 to 30 April 2027, we will be pouring concrete and associated works to complete station platforms and some steel work to prepare for the canopy and roof construction. This will include regular overnight shifts, working overnight between 8pm – 6am, Monday – Friday. Works will be close to the Hitachi Depot around 250m away from Wells House Road and need to be undertaken at night to ensure we are able to complete platforms so that canopy and roof elements can be installed.
No night shifts will occur for these works between 19 December 2026 – 3 January 2027.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
