What we are doing
We will carry out overnight monitoring on 5 and 14 October. There will be vibration testing inside the tunnel to inform the track design of the new railway and we’ll be monitoring on the surface of the recreation ground at this time.
You will see colleagues working at this location each night. The works will not be noisy. We’ll use lighting during our works. We’ll make sure lighting is facing away from properties. We’ll keep noise levels to a minimum to avoid disturbing residents.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
