What we are doing
We previously informed you of our piling and drainage work within the noise barrier sites. We have now finished piling, while the installation of drainage systems is ongoing.
From April 2026, we will also begin to install the concrete noise barrier panels from Copthall Tunnel to West Ruislip Portal. You may notice a crane and other large construction machinery on site, as well as concrete noise barrier panels of various sizes being moved around the work areas and lifted into place.
There may be periods of noise while we carry out this work. We apologise for any disruption this may cause.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
