Site remobilisation at Adelaide Road ventilation shaft site, Camden

What we are doing

Following the pause to works at the Adelaide Road ventilation shaft site in 2024, we will now begin preparatory works from the 11 August to 24 December 2026 to remobilise the site.

We will carry out general site activities including carpentry, scaffolding and mechanical works. We will use machinery to break the old concrete foundation at the east end of the site. We will then pour a new concrete foundation and install a new three-storey welfare unit. We will also reconnect site utilities and power. You may notice an increase in noise during the general site activities.

We will use noise reducing barriers where possible. During this period their will also be lane and partial road closures

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
