Weeknights between Monday 26 October 2026 and Friday 6 November 2026 from 9pm to 6am.
M42 Northbound J6 to J8:
Weeknights between Monday 9 November 2026 and Friday 28 November 2026 from 9pm to 6am.
*Please note that there will be an 11:30pm start time on Thursday 12 November 2026 and Friday 20 November 2026.
What we are doing
The overnight closures are in place to allow our workforce to safely complete streetlight installation on the new M42 bridge structure.
What to expect
Low level noise from our works.
A fully signed diversion route will be in place during the closures.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
