What we are doing
Location
M6/M42 connector road from M6 Junction 3A to the M42, and the M42 between Junctions 7A and 8.

Duration
We will close lanes 3 and 4 on the northbound carriageway each weeknight from Monday 14 September to Friday 18 September. The lane closures will be in place from 9pm each evening and will reopen at 6am the following morning.
What we are doing
Completing essential works to the temporary Vehicle Restraint System (VRS) within the central reservation.

• Low level of noise from our works
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
