What we are doing
Location
M6 between Junction 4 and 4A in both directions
Duration
Overnight lane 2 and 3 closures
Each weeknight from Monday 29 June until Saturday 4 July 2026 between 9pm and 6am.
The final shift for these works will commence at 9pm on Friday 3 July and end at 5am on Saturday 4 July 2026.
What we are doing
Traffic management will be in place to allow our workforce to safely complete lighting surveys from within the central reservation.
What to expect
Lanes 2 and 3 will be closed in both directions, lane 1 will remain fully operational.
Low level noise from our worksite.
These works are subject to consent.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
