Temporary overnight closures:
Each weeknight between 9pm and 6am from Monday 1 June 2026 to Friday 5 June 2026.
What we are doing
As we progress with the construction of the M42 Motorway Box Structure, traffic management will be installed during weeknights only, to allow our workforce to safely carry out our essential activities.
What to expect
Low-level noise from our work site,
A fully signed diversion route during the closure.
These works are subject to consent.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
