What we are doing
We will close the road to remove the temporary access road, bell mouth and the associated traffic signals and lighting.
Location
Junction of HS2 temporary access road with A413 Amersham Road, Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire.
Duration
Phase 1: From 6:00am to 9:00pm every day from Tuesday 11 June to Saturday 20 June 2026 two-way traffic signals will operate.
Phase 2: From 9:00pm on Monday 22 June to 6:00am on Saturday 27 June 2026 a full road closure with signed diversion will be in place.
What to expect
- Please allow additional time for your journey during both phases, especially during the second phase, during which traffic will be on diversion. In this phase the A413 Amersham Road will close at 9:00pm every night, reopening at 6:00am every morning.
- Advanced warning signs will be installed to notify road users of the upcoming works.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
