What we are doing
We wrote to you in July 2026 to let you know about boundary wall and drainage works at the South Ruislip Vent Shaft. We previously advised that work on the southern boundary wall would restart on 17 August 2026. Due to a change in our programme, this work will now restart on 1 September and continue until February 2027.
For safety reasons, some of the activities must be carried out overnight when trains are not running. We expect to work continuously from:
- 7pm Tuesday 1 September to 7am Friday 4 September
- 7pm Friday 11 September to 7am Monday 14 September
- 7pm Friday 18 September to 7am Monday 21 September
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
