What we are doing
The Old Oak Common tunnel is being built using the sprayed concrete lining (SCL) method. A narrow tunnel is dug out and then enlarged to create the final tunnel. This tunnel is then concrete lined and waterproofed.
Our works to concrete line and waterproof the tunnel are continuing until June 2026. Following this we will start works on the final section of the Oak Common tunnel. There will be minimal impact until 12 June 2026. Below ground works becoming noisy during and outside core hours from 12 June 2026. We will need to deliver large equipment by abnormal load twice to the site from 15 June 2026.. We will contact impacted residents in advance of works.
