Update: Overnight and weekend work, Camden, October and November 2026

Weekend working on Hampstead Road bridge

As part of our work to extend Hampstead Road bridge, we need to finish works on the northbound footpath. These works will include breaking out concrete, laying a new kerb line, installing the footpath, and resurfacing a section of the northbound lane. We will then install hoarding behind the new footpath ready for pedestrians to use when we close the southbound footpath. 

We will work from 8am to 6pm on the following Saturdays: 31 October, 7 November, and 14 November.

We expect some of this work to be noisy. There will not be any noisy work after 1pm on Saturdays and we’ll monitor our levels to ensure we are within approved limits. We apologise for any disruption this may cause.

We also need to replace hoarding on the west side of Hampstead Road close to Network Rail tracks. For safety, we can only carry these works out when the tracks are not in use. We will work from 9.30am on Saturday 7 November to 1pm on Sunday 8 November. We do not expect these works to be noisy.

Overnight weekend working in Camden Cutting north 

We previously informed you we needed to complete protective works to Network Rail tracks ahead of the tunnel boring machines arriving in Euston. This will involve excavation and steel cutting at track-level in several areas within the Camden Cutting.

For safety, we can only carry out this work when the rail tracks are not in use. We will work overnight from 9pm on Saturday to 9am on Sunday every weekend for the rest of October and in November.

We expect there to be some noise during these works. We apologise for any disruption this may cause.

Overnight weekend working on Granby Terrace bridge

We previously informed you we are building our haul road across Granby Terrace bridge. We’re using a crane to lift concrete blocks on to the bridge. These works were due to finish overnight between the 3 to 4 October, but had to be rescheduled and we will now work the following:

• 9am Saturday 7 November to midday Sunday 8 November

• 9pm Saturday 14 November to midday Sunday 15 November

For safety, we can only carry out this work when the rail tracks below are not in use. 

Ongoing surveys and monitoring at track-level within the Euston Approaches 

We carry out regular surveys and monitoring of the bridges and structures within the railway cutting, to inform and assess the impact of our works. For safety, we can only carry out these surveys when the tracks are not in use. Weekend and overnight shifts will need to be used to carry out these surveys.
