What we are doing
Please find update and summary of our current and upcoming utility works on Hampstead Road.
- 4 May to October 2026 – Southbound cycle lane and footpath closure on Hampstead Road, south of Cardington Street – Cyclists and pedestrians are being diverted around the closure.
- 3 to 12 August – Southbound footpath closure on Hampstead Road north of Varndell Street – Road will be closed as we need to excavate two separate location for trial holes.
- 13 August to 4 September – Lane closures on Hampstead Road – We are continuing our utility diversion works in the southern section of Hampstead Road in preparation for Hampstead Road bridge extension works. Northbound lane of Varndell Street will be closed. Vehicle access to Regents Park Estate will be via Robert Street.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
