What we are doing
We have previously notified you of our works to remove all the utilities from Hampstead Road and redirect them across Granby Terrace bridge and over the retaining wall within our worksite. These works are required before we extend Hampstead Road bridge. After we extend Hampstead Road bridge, we will permanently reinstall the utilities back on to Hampstead Road.
UKPN works close to Gillfoot – 13 to 31 July
UK Power Network (UKPN) will be working within Ampthill Estate, close to Gillfoot to complete some jointing works. We’ll place fencing around the works and excavate the area. UKPN will then make the final connections to the substation in Gillfoot in order to energise their network. UKPN will work from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Please see a map of the works area below. These works will not affect your utilities.
Transport for London works – Hampstead Road close to Ampthill – Ongoing to early August
Transport for London (TfL) are working on Hampstead Road, close to Ampthill Estate. We previously diverted utilities that provide power to the London Underground network. TfL will work in the area shown below on the map to make their final connections to the diverted utilities. TfL will work during the day where possible but will need to work some night shifts when the London Underground network is not in use. We expect TfL to complete these works by early August 2026.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
