Update on utility connection works in Euston Approaches – 27 July to 18 September 2026

We have been diverting utility services on and next to Hampstead Road before we begin works to extend Hampstead Road bridge.

As part of these works, we previously installed new cable routes from Lidlington Place to Varndell Street via Granby Terrace to replace the existing route on Hampstead Road.

In the next stage of our works, we will install an additional section of ducting and connect the new cable routes before the existing services are transferred.

Utility connection works in corner of Park Village East and Stanhope Street – Ongoing to 18 September

Since 27 July, UK Power Networks (UKPN) have been carrying out jointing works on Stanhope Street and Park Village East. Whilst UKPN are working in this area, we’ll also excavate the area and install additional ducting.

We previously informed you we expect these works to finish on 21 August, however UKPN have also informed us of additional utility diversion works in this area. We have decided to carry out these additional works whilst the traffic management is in place and parking bays are suspended, rather than returning at a later date. We expect these works to finish on 18 September.

During this period, parking bay suspensions will be in place on both Stanhope Street and Park Village East, and temporary traffic lights will be used to manage vehicle flow through the works area. Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm. If the work takes longer than anticipated, daytime work may also be required on some weekends to complete the works safely.

There may be some noise during jointing works. These works will be monitored closely to ensure they remain within the noise limits agreed with the local council.
