What we are doing
We are moving a Thames Water main running under Old Oak Common Lane near Minster and Walking on Wood to allow HS2 tunnels to be built under the road later this year.
Road closure for temporary diversion of Thames Water main on Old Oak Common Lane Update – 10:00pm on Friday 10 April until Monday 13 April at 05:00am
Due to construction challenges, we were not able to complete the works during the road closure on Friday 27 March until Monday 30 March. We therefore need to change the pre-planned road closure on Old Oak Common Lane from the north to the south of the road from Friday 10 April at 10pm until Monday 13 April at 5am.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
