Weekend utility works at Old Oak Common Station Site Entrance

What we are doing

We will continue to install ducting for utilities just inside and across the main entrance to the Old Oak Common station site. This is in preparation for tunnelling into the station.

This work involves using road saws to cut through tarmac, breaking the concrete, which we will do after 9am, excavating trenches, laying ducting, re-filling the trenches and then reinstating the road surface. This will then be a temporary pedestrian crossing and we will be writing to residents separately about this.

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
