What we are doing
From early to July to 30 August 2026, we are rebuilding the stairs on Wells House Road. This notice is specific to works over the next three months.
Works will include a series of lane and road closures on Old Oak Common Lane, to support activities taking place on the stairs. The activities include demolishing supporting walls and the stairs themselves, excavating materials, and concrete pouring within the stairwell, and neighbouring properties. We will be putting mitigations in place to reduce the impact to residents.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
