Old Oak Common: Conventional station extended hours
Work item: HS2-OOC – SCP-26-2344

We will be working weekends and occasional early weekday shifts until the summer of 2027 in order to complete conventional station concrete works and reach key deadlines.
We are expanding our ongoing concrete activity in the conventional station and the station control area previously notified (ref: HS2-OOC – SCP-26-1734), with the building of formwork, concreate pours and finishing. This will be to pour concrete to the platform slabs, station overbridge and floor slabs for the station control area building. Weekend works are also ongoing for the new site road, as notified in the AWN Old Oak Common: extended working hours within station site only (ref: HS2-OOC – SCP-26-2164).

Old Oak Common: Substation Construction
Work item: HS2-OOC – SCP-26-1985

Works that began last year to build a new substation to house the electrical systems for the future Old Oak Common Station are continuing this year. After last year’s sheet piling, our teams will be pouring the concrete base slab for the substation. Various reinforced concrete works will continue until April 2027. Works will take place on our site at the Old Oak Common Station site, and by the Elizabeth Line depot. Working hours will remain 8am to 6pm Monday – Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.
