The Homeowner Payment scheme is for owner-occupiers of rural properties near the line of route.

The HOP scheme aims to share the economic benefits of HS2 with homeowners who might not directly benefit from the railway when it opens because they don’t live close to our stations.

One-time cash payments are made to eligible owner-occupiers, whose property is typically between 120 to 300 metres from the line in rural areas where the railway is not in a tunnelled section.

If you are unsure whether your property is in the HOP zone see the interactive map or contact the HS2 Helpdesk.
