What we are doing
We will be replacing the current mobile traffic lights, with fixed traffic lights on the A418 EKFB site entrance for the duration of the HS2 works.
Location
A418 Oxford Road, between Coldharbour roundabout and Stone, opposite EKFB A418 compound site entrance.
Duration
11 days, Monday 23 February to Thursday 5 March.
What to expect
10 days, Monday 23 February to Wednesday 4 March, lane closure, 4 way temporary traffic lights, off peak 9.30am to 3pm.
1 night, Wednesday 4 March to Thursday 5 March, overnight road closure, 8.30pm to 5.30am, with associated diversion route.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
