What we are doing
We will be completing utility diversion works and the removal of our temporary bridge across the old A4421 road.
Location
Buckingham Road, A4421 old road between Newton Purcell and Barton Hartshorn.

Weekend Road Closures – 8:30pm to 5:30am
– 20 February to 23 February 2026
– 27 February to 02 March 2026
– 06 March to 09 March 2026
What to expect
A small section of the old Buckingham Road (Former A4421) will be closed. This closure will not affect traffic on the main A4421.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
