Overnight Central Line bridge works winter 2026

What we are doing

We are continuing with work to support the construction of railway bridges on land near the Central Line. Residents can expect to experience minimal construction noise, within the limits allowed by agreement with the local authority.

Duration

1 February – 29 March non-continuous nights

We will be working three-or four-night shifts (likely to be non-continuous nights) from 18 February onwards.

What to expect

We will work hard to complete these works as quickly possible to reduce disruption. We’ll use equipment and methods which help to reduce noise. We’ll engage directly with residents impacted by these works.

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
