How we're governed

The main decision-making, executive and managerial bodies at High Speed Two (HS2) Limited are the executive management team and the board.

Collectively, HS2 Ltd is responsible for ensuring that the HS2 rail network is:

designed, built and operates to the highest safety standards
built and operates sustainably, responsibly and respectfully of the communities, wildlife and places it affects
reliable, seamless and easy to use for all passengers and well-integrated with existing transport systems

We also work with our suppliers to build a skilled workforce that supports economic growth across the UK.

Shape, challenge and direct the agenda so we achieve our priorities.
Monitor performance and risk and make choices or recommendations to ministers on our priorities. This includes the amount and type of risk we’re willing to take in order to meet our strategic objectives.
Oversee relationships with our stakeholders and commercial partners.
