What we are doing
Remove a 30m section of the existing road surface at the junction of Werner Terrace and Brackley Lane where this will need the new Calvert Road overbridge. New kerbs will be installed, and the road surface will be reinstated to tie in with the new highway over the Calvert Road overbridge, scheduled for completion next Summer 2026.
What to expect
Expect periods of increased noise during the road planing works for the first few days. Works vehicles carrying concrete and tarmac will have to access this location using Werner Terrace. If at any point work allows, we will open the road on two-way temporary traffic lights.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area
