What we are doing
We will be installing parapets on the Small Dean viaduct above the Chiltern Railway line and the A413 London Road and completing backfill to one of the viaduct piers.
What to expect
Railway closure and possession work:
• Thursday 25 – 28 December 2025. Rail replacement service will be in operation 27 – 28 December.
10 nights of overnight working. A413 London Road closures (8:30pm – 5:30am):
• Monday 19 January – Saturday 24 January • Monday 26 January – Saturday 31 January 2026
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
